Convergence Quilts!

After sharing my own Harmonic Convergence Quilt, I realized that my Canadian friend, Anna McCurdy, had designed and created six of these beauties and not only that, but they are larger and more complex than my own.

Anna blogs at Quilt Mom's Journey, is a talented educator, quilter, and artist (painting and jewelery) who has been a wonderful blogging friend of many years.

She shared her own convergence quilted beauties with me on facebook after my last post. And gave me permission to share them with all of you 💜

First, is this lovely:

Anna named this one "Black and White and Red All Over" and my own eyes were all over this one seeing how cleverly her artistic eye had been with her colors, tones, and value selection. How wonderful!

Look at the garden of colors in this one!
Created for Anna's teaching partner . what a lovely gift!

Anna created one as a gift for her mother-in-law and father-in-law on their 62nd Anniversary. I can only imagine how much they loved and treasured it! And now it us back home again with Anna as her own reminder of just how much she loved them.

Quilts and their quilting create, hold, and pass on so many wonderful memories. Ok. Forget our time with those pesky seam rippers!

A third variation was made and gifted to a friend for her 60th birthday. What a truly generous gift in so many ways! Filled with Anna's own heart, her hardworking hands, and priceless love and time!

This lovely one for her teaching partner.  Love the calming but still warm color This one given as a gift to her sister.

s. Anna just retired after a lifetime of teaching. I suspect she teaches all around her still.

And as Anna says, the trick to these quilts is color selection. You need colors that are compatible but not too similar to one another. And added that she learned that the hard way.

But besides the 6 she's made another quilt using Ricki Timm's patterns or tecniques, the one a bright star, which is pretty much how
