"Who made the world?
Who made the swan, and the black bear?
Who made the grasshopper?
This grasshopper, I mean-
the one who has flung herself out of the grass,
the one who is eating sugar out of my hand,
who is moving her jaws back and forth instead of up and down-
who is gazing around with her enormous and complicated eyes.
Now she lifts her pale forearms and thoroughly washes her face.
Now she snaps her wings open, and floats away.
I don’t know exactly what a prayer is.
I do know how to pay attention, how to fall down
into the grass, how to kneel down in the grass,
how to be idle and blessed, how to stroll through the fields,
which is what I have been doing all day.
Tell me, what else should I have done?
Doesn’t everything die at last, and too soon?
Tell me, what is it you plan to do
with your one wild and precious life?"

Sewing and Quilting makes a difference, today and every day. We create for giving , for catalyzing and for inspiring and even for a reason to do and give and be!
Being of service can take many forms. One way is by using our sewing gifs to make and donate to a multitude of potential causes.
I sew with at least one group that creates creates quilts, blankets, or baby items to charitable causes.
I am just starting my "Strings in Strata"
A little crib, cot, or sweet blessing quilt.
I find my scrap flannels in softer colors.
And after cutting leftover 2 1/2 strips of scrap flannel, laying out strings in varying lengths for my Strata Quilting.

And then...oops,
And 'sew' some days go!
Still, sewing and quilting for others.
Making my own kind of magic and doing and giving to others.
Through happy days, sad days, good days and not so good days.
What are you doing with your own day today ?
May it be a really good day for you and for creating and giving!
Making a Difference in any and all ways that we can!
