Quilted Forest
As you walk through the paths of Greenbaum's Quilted Forest in Quiltopia 2010, you see lovingly crafted quilts of all kinds. First, there are the amazing art quilted trees of pure imagination...quilts with leaves, without leaves, with strips, and blocks, with curves, with every kind of fabric and fiber that is real, or from the land of fantasy.
It is a wondrous journey into the quilts of Quiltopian quilts, where anyone of any age, can contribute a quilt...without judgment, or ribbons, or skill levels.
I met an elderly woman while I walked through this maze of quilts...'I used to quilt" she told me. " I made quilts with all of my sisters. We sewed once week, every week, for years and years. And when we'd finally made enough for one quilt each, we divvied them up, somehow, so we each got one."
She was lost in the forest, as I was. "I can't tell if I've seen this one yet or not!." she said.
I looked at the lovely quilt she was looking at, too.
"I can't tell, either I said" with a smile.
It doesn't matter if you're old, or visually impaired, or even spatially dyslexic as I am. When you're in the beautiful world of quilts, you just look at the quilts and love everything you see!

It does look like a lovely show. I tend to get lost too, but I don't mind seeing the quilts twice (or more). That three dimensional tree (all green) is very interesting.
I enjoyed your perception of the atmosphere as much as the quilts. How fun are these?
Thanks for sharing! This looks wonderful!
What an extraordinary event!
